Anand Sharma is a senior from Nashoba Regional High School, a four-year DECA member and member of the Massachusetts DECA State Action Team 62. His DECA journey began freshman year when he had just moved from North Carolina and decided to take a business class without knowing that business will one day be the field he wants to pursue later in life. Like many, he joined DECA not knowing what it was or what it entailed. As a freshman who had recently moved, he was stuck in an almost “anti-social bubble.” DECA allowed him to open up and network with amazing people. This elevated his passion for DECA and made him grow a love for the business industry. By the end of sophomore year and his second year of DECA, he was ready to serve on the officer committee and then ran and sought state office to give back to the organization that has given me so much.
